Here Tonight
I sit here alone tonight
I wonder what tomorrow will bring
Will the sun be shining bright
Will I hear the Rosella’s sing.
My mind is resting quietly
As I look at the darken sky
I spot the stars all twinkling
It’s their way of saying HI.
There is a peaceful stillness
As no-one else is in view
The only sound I’m hearing
Is my fingers typing in two’s.
I look into the vast horizon
The moon it is full tonight
I see trees casting shadows
Houses silhouette in the beam of light.
I hear a car passing slowly
My cat has come to say hi
There is a peace within
As I sit here alone tonight.
I reflect on my days adventures
I smile from cheek to cheek
Remembering a day with my sisters
Shopping and the busy streets.
A friend who came for coffee
A visit to Dear Brandon
My day was interesting
I really didn’t have it planned.
Now I feel somewhat tired
I think I shall go to bed
I know I’ll sleep soundly
As the pillow hit’s my head.
Tomorrow will come to greet me
The moment I first awake
I hope it is just as pleasant
My today was truly great!!
